Do you have a kettle or cooler but would like the ease and convenience of using a ball valve to easily drain liquid? Are you a Do It Yourself Type person? At a fraction of the cost of having a spigot welded into your kettle you can drill a whole and install a weldless ball valve.
Weldless kit includes a 1/2" Full Port ball valve and a 1/2" barb. All fittings are made from 304 type stainless steel for a lifetime of corrosion free use.

I ordered (3) of the SS ball valves for my HLT; they came quick and look to be great quality. The valve is a little stiff, but should loosen up with use. The only complaint I have is one of the hose barb fittings appears to have been used (it has teflon tape on the threads and smells of old wort). This didn't really bother me, since I am using QD's instead of the hose barbs.

Bought this to make a cooler into a hot liquor tank. The 1" nipple provided would not reach through the cooler wall regardless of how I adjusted it. Replaced with a 1.5" that I bought at a plumbing supply store and it works like a charm. And it is still a bargain. They should really change the set up to the 1.5" nipple, but in the mean time just order it separately and the kit is still a better bargain than anywhere else.
Product was great. My only gripe was I wish there was an option for a 2" nipple since I'm using this to build a mad tun.
