An affordable start to all grain brewing from a the Igloo brand name that you can trust and all at a great price. Plus all metal parts are 304 stainless steel not brass like other kits on the market. Why contaminate your beer with a metalic taste that brass can give it. Next time you are at the hardware store, pick some brass fitting and give them a smell. That's the taste brass will impart in home brew. Brew like a professional and use stainless steel. There are two main items in this set up:
Hot Liquor Tank:
The HLT comes with the 10 Gallon insulated Igloo cooler, weldless stainless steel ball valve with two high temp orings to ensure a leak free brew day, 1/2" barbed outlet, and high temp tubing for trasfer from the HLT to the mash tun. You can also add an optional weldless therometer to the HLT to better help you monitor the strike water and sparge water temperatures.
Mash Tun:
The mash tun comes with the 10 Gallon insulated Igloo cooler, weldless stainless steel ball valve and two high temp orings (just like the HLT), high temp transfer tubing for transfering to your kettle, and a 12" stainless steel false bottom. You can also add on a weldless thermometer as an option above. The thermometer is a 3" dial face with a 6" or 2" probe. Two high temp orings seal the thermometer in place.
